Peyton Manning’s influence has broadened. At the 57th Annual CMA Awards on Wednesday night, hosts Luke Bryan and Manning delivered a plethora of jokes, diving right in with references to Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift, and the New York Jets.
“We are back, and you know what that means,” Manning told the crowd at the start of their monologue.
“Yup, Travis and Taylor weren’t available,” Bryan responded.

“Luke, do you know the difference between Taylor Swift and the New York Jets,” Manning then asked, before his co-host responded: “Uh, Taylor can sell out a stadium.”
“You nailed it,” Manning replied. “I had you do that punchline, Luke, so I wouldn’t get in trouble.”
The New York Jets organization noticed the diss and responded with a comeback to X by sharing an image that seemed to depict a packed and sold-out MetLife Stadium.
The New York Jets’ winning streak hit a roadblock this week with a disappointing home loss to the Chargers on Monday night, bringing their season record to 4-4.
On a brighter note, the Jets have consistently drawn an impressive average attendance of over 80,000 fans per home game, ranking third among NFL teams this season, as reported by ESPN. The team has tallied a league-leading total of over 403,000 fans attending the five home games at MetLife Stadium this year. Additionally, Taylor Swift contributed to the stadium’s success, attracting over 217,000 fans during her three Eras Tour stops in May.
Despite the on-field challenges, there’s no animosity between the Jets and Swift. MetLife Stadium took to social media to congratulate the singer after her shows and proudly announced her as the venue’s top-selling artist.
As the saying goes, if you’re the subject of jokes, it means you’re incredibly relevant.
