There’s still something enchanting about live TV.
Peyton Manning couldn’t believe his eyes when Arnold Schwarzenegger’s donkey made an unexpected appearance on Monday.
As the iconic Terminator actor, 76, joined Peyton, 47, and his brother Eli Manning on the ‘ManningCast’ to analyze the Los Angeles Chargers’ game against the New York Jets, Schwarzenegger surprised the former NFL stars with a special guest.
The actor’s donkey, Lulu, almost took up the entire broadcast screen as she nibbled on a snack held by Schwarzenegger during her ESPN debut.
“Oh — what is…what is that?,” Eli, 42, asked, unable to get Schwarzenegger’s attention.
“That donkey looks like you eating, Peyton,” Eli joked as his brother looked amazed by the donkey’s appearance on their show.
Eli struggled through his introduction of the former California governor to ‘ManningCast’ viewers, nearly getting distracted by Lulu’s commanding presence and Schwarzenegger’s soothing murmurs of “Oh, yes,” to his pet donkey.
After finishing her snack, Lulu seemed to lose interest in Monday Night Football and allowed the former athletes to continue their NFL commentary.

Despite the unconventional choice in pets, Schwarzenegger mentioned that his animals are well-trained and relatively easy to take care of. “Most people think, oh my, you have to clean up the stuff all the time.”
“So with all these animals, there’s never an accident in the house. And like I said, they really roam around the house and walk around. They’re in and out,” he concluded.
And while his donkey wandered through the at-home set on Monday night, the Chargers dominated the Jets, defeating New York 27-6.
Arnold has certainly earned the right to express his eccentricities.
