At present, Bill Belichick’s future in the NFL coaching arena remains uncertain, leaving him with various possibilities for the upcoming 2024 season.
One intriguing offer has emerged from an unexpected quarter: Peyton Manning, the former Indianapolis Colts quarterback who faced off against Belichick, Tom Brady, and the New England Patriots in many memorable battles.
According to Andrew Marchand of The Athletic, Manning is actively pursuing Belichick to join his entertainment company, Omaha Productions.
Omaha Productions has been collaborating with ESPN for some time, producing the popular ‘Manningcast’ alternate broadcast on Monday Night Football for select weeks during the NFL season.
Marchand reveals that if Manning secures Belichick’s services, there are discussions about teaming up with ESPN to create a ‘Manningcast’ featuring Belichick and Nick Saban, another close associate of Belichick’s who recently retired from college football.

Following Saban’s retirement, he joined ESPN as the fifth panelist on the network’s flagship college football preview show, ‘College GameDay.’
While Belichick has not yet met with ESPN, the network is reportedly interested in bringing him aboard. Additionally, Belichick has reportedly held meetings with executives at CBS and NBC. However, there’s no mention in Marchand’s report of any meetings with FOX.
A potential move to FOX would create an intriguing reunion, as the network already boasts former Patriots players such as Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, and Julian Edelman in prominent roles. However, networks are cautious about offering Belichick a broadcasting position, as there’s a strong belief that the 72-year-old coach is keen on returning to the sidelines to pursue Don Shula’s all-time wins record.
Marchand emphasizes that while Belichick is selective about discussing football matters that interest him, any potential broadcasting role would require a mutual understanding between him and the network.
