Paul Pierce has become the latest celebrity ensnared in Los Angeles’ burglary surge, as the former NBA superstar’s residence fell victim to thieves on Friday night, absconding with luxury watches and a staggering sum exceeding $100,000 in cash.
According to law enforcement sources speaking to TMZ Sports, the 46-year-old 10-time NBA All-Star’s home was targeted during his absence, resulting in the loss of valuable possessions, including high-end timepieces, a substantial amount of cash, and a secured safe, which authorities are actively pursuing.
In the ongoing criminal investigation, police have been scrutinizing surveillance footage from the scene in hopes of uncovering crucial evidence to crack the case. Presently, no arrests have been made.

While Pierce is the latest victim, he joins a roster of prominent figures whose sanctuaries have been violated and possessions pilfered, underscoring an enduring issue in the City of Angels. Notable names such as Post Malone, Bella Thorne, Yasiel Puig, Rihanna, Quentin Tarantino, and Drake have all fallen prey to similar intrusions.
The LAPD has shed light on the phenomenon of “burglary tourists” hailing from South America, who specifically target opulent residences in Los Angeles. These criminal networks often employ sophisticated tactics, including the use of jammers to bypass security systems.
It remains uncertain whether one of these organized rings is implicated in the burglary at Pierce’s residence.
Known as “The Truth” and enshrined in the Basketball Hall of Fame, Pierce enjoyed a storied 19-season career in the NBA, boasting impressive averages of nearly 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists per game. He clinched an NBA title with the Celtics in 2008, cementing his legacy as one of the game’s greats.
