The future of New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick remains uncertain with four games left in the regular season.
Sources informed NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport that team owner Robert Kraft has not reached a definitive decision regarding the Patriots’ head coaching position and is monitoring how the team finishes the season.
Speculation had circulated that the Patriots were leaning towards parting ways with the 71-year-old Belichick after the 2023 season, particularly following a 10-6 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in November.
Currently standing at a 3-10 record, the Patriots aim for consecutive victories after breaking a five-game losing streak with a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 14. A potential triumph against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday could mark the first time New England secures back-to-back wins since Weeks 5 and 6 of the 2022 season.

While the team’s performance in the remaining games is expected to influence Belichick’s fate, a final decision may not materialize until well after the regular season concludes.
Belichick, when questioned about his future with the organization in the past week, redirected attention to the upcoming matchup, stating, “Getting ready for Kansas City.”
With six Super Bowl victories and 301 career wins, Belichick holds a prominent place in league history.
