The Patriots’ quarterback situation has been a focal point of discussion following their recent lackluster 10–6 loss to the Colts on Nov. 12.
Despite the speculation, coach Bill Belichick has reportedly reached a decision: according to Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald, New England will have Mac Jones as the starting quarterback in Sunday’s game against the Giants.
Throughout the week, there were numerous reports indicating that Belichick had kept his decision under wraps, as both Jones and quarterback Bailey Zappe practiced with the first-team offense.
In the game against Indianapolis, Jones completed 15 of 20 pass attempts for 170 yards with one interception. In the current season, the Alabama product has thrown 10 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 10 games.

Zappe has had playing time in three games for the Patriots in 2023, completing 10 of 25 pass attempts with one interception.
With a current record of 2–8, New England finds itself in the last position in the AFC East. The Patriots are on track for their poorest record since a 2-14 mark in 1992.
