NFL fans are mocking a player after the New England Patriots signed him, solely because of his name.
The Patriots recently added linebacker Diego Fagot to their roster after his successful workout with the team. Fagot, a 25-year-old former Navy inside LB, began his NFL journey after being invited to the Baltimore Ravens’ rookie minicamp last year, despite going undrafted. Although he received an offer from the Ravens, he was eventually waived.
Now that Fagot has made his way back into the league, fans can’t resist making jokes about his name. Some reactions to the signing can be seen below:

It’s worth noting that Fagot is a two-time first-team All-American Athletic Conference player, with an impressive track record that includes 94 tackles last season and being selected as the defensive MVP of the Shrine Bowl.
In his 42 games for Navy, he tallied an impressive 282 tackles, 9.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, five recoveries, and two interceptions. The details of Fagot’s deal with the Patriots have not been disclosed.
Grow up people.
