PETA is no stranger to keeping a close eye on wildlife-related activities worldwide, and it seems they might be turning their attention towards Patrick Mahomes.
While Mahomes is renowned for his prowess on the football field, recent events suggest he’s quite skilled in the art of fishing as well.
A humorous photo shared by Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, on her Instagram story featured the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback holding his three-year-old daughter, Sterling, alongside a sizable catfish he seemingly reeled in. Sterling, however, appeared less than thrilled with the fish, given its size.

In typical fashion, PETA, known for its staunch advocacy for animal welfare, could potentially take issue with Mahomes’ fishing excursion, despite its commonality.
As Mahomes and his family enjoy their offseason together, there’s a possibility that PETA’s scrutiny could cast a shadow over their leisure time.
Meanwhile, Mahomes continues to relish his offseason following his role in leading the Kansas City Chiefs to victory in their second consecutive Super Bowl appearance, defeating the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time PETA has targeted Mahomes’ family. Last July, Brittany Mahomes found herself in hot water with PETA after sharing a vacation photo in which she was interacting with a dolphin during a swim. PETA’s response urged her to extend her compassion towards marine life, highlighting the negative impacts of captivity on dolphins and the potential health risks associated with human interactions with these animals.
