The father of the quarterback was arrested in Tyler, Texas, on Saturday night for felony DWI, marking his third or more offense, elevating it to a felony.
Patrick Mahomes Sr. spent the night in Smith County Jail and was released on a $10,000 bond the following day. Mahomes Sr., a former professional baseball pitcher at 6’4″, faces legal consequences for the repeated offense of driving while intoxicated.
Patrick Mahomes Sr. will be able to attend the Super Bowl despite his recent arrest for felony DWI in Texas. However he will have some restrictions placed on him if he’s too attend.

Bond documents confirm that he can travel to Las Vegas, but he must remain sober and refrain from consuming alcohol in the VIP box.
