Patrick Mahomes is a “sports guy” in ways that go beyond his stardom with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The world is learning about his passion for his home state’s Dallas Mavericks, revealing that he’s a hoops guy too.
Naturally, he’s mourning the loss of a legendary basketball icon, both on and off the court.

He derived great joy from basketball and music, and deeply cherished his moments with teammates and friends.
