On Tuesday morning, Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, was honored as one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential People for 2024.
During his interview with TIME, the three-time Super Bowl champion discussed various topics, including the highly anticipated presidential election. With Joe Biden and Donald Trump making frequent headlines, the race is expected to be closely contested.
When questioned about his endorsement preferences for the upcoming election, Mahomes chose not to disclose his personal political leanings regarding Biden and Trump. However, he emphasized the importance of informed voting.

“I don’t want to pressure anyone to vote for a certain president,” Mahomes mentioned in an interview with OutKick. “I want people to use their voice, whoever they believe in. I want them to do the research.”
Currently, Mahomes is concentrating on excelling in his role as a quarterback, a job at which he is evidently succeeding.
“At the end of my time, I just want to say that I didn’t leave anything out there,” Mahomes reflected. “My family and football are the first things I want to be great at. If I can go out there and say that I gave everything I had on the football field, expectations are what they are and whatever is going to happen is going to happen. And I can be satisfied with that.”
