Patrick and Brittany, both 28, are already parents to daughter Sterling Skye, 3, and son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, 18 months. On July 12, the couple announced they are expecting their third child with a heartfelt joint video on Instagram, captioned, “Round three, here we come ?.”
During the press conference, Patrick described fatherhood as “awesome” and expressed his joy at becoming a young parent. “I always wanted to have kids young,” he admitted. “Growing up in the locker room made such an impact on my life, so I wanted to have kids young.”
He also praised Brittany for her role as a wife and mother. “Brittany does a great job,” he said. “We still go out and enjoy our life and let our kids see these great things.” Patrick added that even though Sterling and Bronze “might not be able to remember” all their adventures, there will be video footage to look back on.
The Mahomes family recently enjoyed several weeks traveling through Europe during the NFL offseason, visiting places like Portugal, Milan, and England, where they attended the Wimbledon Tennis Championship.
On Monday, July 15, Brittany shared pictures from a double date with Patrick, his teammate Travis Kelce, and Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor Swift, captioning the social media post, “London & Amsterdam, a time was had?.”
As the Kansas City Current co-owner, Brittany attended Swift’s concert in Amsterdam on July 6. Now back in the United States, the Mahomes family is gearing up for the upcoming NFL season.
The Chiefs will kick off their regular season on September 5, facing the Baltimore Ravens after wrapping up their preseason games.
