Olivia Dunne, the star gymnast for the LSU Tigers, had a fitting end to her collegiate career with a national championship
“With one performance remaining, Aleah Finnegan delivered a 9.95 on beam to lift the LSU gymnastics team to the first NCAA Championship in program history Saturday afternoon at Dickies Arena. The Tigers claimed the title with a 198.225 to defeat California (197.850), Utah (197.800) and Florida (197.4375). With the win, LSU became just the eighth program in NCAA history to win the women’s gymnastics championship,” LSU announced.
Golf influencer Paige Spirinac, who is close friends with Olivia Dunne, congratulated the All-American on her team’s national championship with a message on the Instagram post below.

This win marks the first national title for the LSU women’s gymnastics team.
The championship victory is the 52nd in the history of LSU Athletics.
Dunne’s boyfriend, former LSU pitcher and Pittsburgh Pirates pitching prospect Paul Skenes, also reacted to his girlfriend’s achievement.
