Golf influencer Paige Spiranac is well-acquainted with dealing with social media trolls, but recently she came across some comments that she couldn’t ignore.
Fans compared her to NFL star quarterback Trevor Lawrence, suggesting that they both share a resemblance with their black headbands.
Despite hitting a cold streak in her sports betting last week, Spiranac showed her resilience by addressing the unpleasant comments in a video on X (formerly known as Twitter).
She humorously stated that she couldn’t unsee the comparison to Lawrence and jokingly mentioned getting rid of her headband.
Like Lawrence, Spiranac wears a black headband to keep her long, blonde hair out of her face. Some social media trolls took this opportunity to make negative remarks about her appearance.

Fans joined in, supporting the comparison and even including GIFs of Lawrence flipping his hair. However, Spiranac remains focused on her betting picks and urged her followers to continue supporting her. In the video, Spiranac discussed her recent betting history and admitted to having an off week. She acknowledged that picking golf winners can be challenging, especially considering unexpected outcomes like Brian Harman winning The Open Championship. Nevertheless, she expressed confidence in her abilities and encouraged her fans to stick with her. She then shared her choices for the Wyndham Championship, including Denny McCarthy, Russell Henley, and J.T. Poston, for various PGA Tour bets.
