This past weekend, a distressing incident unfolded as a video containing explicit content supposedly involving UConn star Paige Bueckers surfaced on social media.
Additionally, former Iowa standout Caitlin Clark was also impacted by this “leak.”
However, it has been revealed that the content was artificially generated by AI, presenting explicit photos of the two athletes.
This distressing situation echoes a similar incident from last year involving LSU’s Angel Reece, who fell victim to the same online scam.
In addition, Taylor Swift was the target of explicit AI-generated photos as well.

Bueckers has now addressed the unfortunate incident on X:
“The devil works hard but God and the people around me work WAY harder. The outpouring of love and support from the WBB community is unreal. Love yall. Support women in sport ALWAYS.”
AI can be used positively in a lot of ways, but this unfortunately is not one of them.
Hopefully, somebody producing AI-generated content such as this will soon be held responsible and prosecuted to set an example that it won’t be tolerated.
The replies were incredibly supportive in response to Bueckers statement.
