During his appearance on the Mind the Game Pod with JJ Redick, James advised the up-and-coming WNBA star, saying, “My advice to Caitlin, and my advice to anyone that comes in with this level of notoriety, out-of-this-world expectation, whatever the case may be, be a horse, man. The Kentucky Derby. Put your blinders on, go to work, show up to work, punch your clock in, prepare yourself, work on your game, work on your craft. Kind of keep your mouth shut and just learn from the vets.”
James continued by mentioning his son, Bronny James, and he simply said that he would advise his son to do the same as Caitlin Clark and ignore all of the outside noise.
However, Whitlock somehow completely flipped that which led to his response below:
“This is amazing. LeBron just analogized his son, who averaged 5 points a game at USC, to the most transformational women’s college basketball player we’ve ever seen, Caitlin Clark. Two-time women’s player of the year. Women’s all-time leading scorer. She’s just like Bronny. OK.”

Whitlock has made it clear he’s quite a big Caitlin Clark fan, and it’s interesting to note that a large percentage of Clark’s games are nationally televised, so WNBA League Pass isn’t all that necessary to regularly watch Fever games.
Clark nearly picked up her first WNBA win Wednesday night, but the Fever fell to the Seattle Storm 85-83.
