Oscar De La Hoya seems to be relishing in teasing Canelo Alvarez ahead of his upcoming bout against Jaime Munguia.
Earlier this week, tensions flared between De La Hoya and Alvarez during a press conference, with De La Hoya urging his former protege to show him some respect.
The exchange escalated when Alvarez accused De La Hoya of embezzling money from him, prompting De La Hoya to retaliate by filing a lawsuit against Canelo.
In a statement to ESPN, Alvarez asserted, “If I hadn’t gotten my lawyers involved, you would have robbed me. All this man does is tarnish boxing. He robs boxers. To anyone associated with him, I urge you to seek legal counsel because he’s likely taking advantage of you. It’s his modus operandi in boxing.”
In the midst of this conflict with Canelo, De La Hoya dropped a peculiar music video set to Ryan Garcia’s track “Blessed,” featuring his girlfriend Holly Sonders.
