Rebecca Lobo, a WNBA legend, has shared her insights on the recent treatment of Caitlin Clark in the league.
Clark, the top pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, has been on the receiving end of some notably rough fouls this season. A notable incident occurred on Saturday when Chennedy Carter of the Chicago Sky knocked Clark to the ground, a foul that was later upgraded to a Flagrant 1 by the WNBA.
Amid speculations that Clark might be a target due to jealousy or competitive tactics by other players, Lobo offered her perspective.
“The level of defensive pressure Caitlin is facing as a rookie is unusual. She’s often guarded aggressively, even far from the basket. While she doesn’t always get calls she might deserve, I hadn’t seen anything overtly harsh or foul play until Saturday’s incident,” Lobo commented online.
