Sean M. Daley, one of the six men arrested by Scottsdale Police, is accused of playing a significant role in the assault on Bissonnette, which occurred at Houston’s restaurant on Sunday night. Daley is now facing felony charges of aggravated assault and forgery, as well as a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct.
According to court documents obtained by 3TV and CBS 5 News in Phoenix, officers found a military ID on Daley during his arrest. When questioned, Daley reportedly admitted that the ID was fraudulent, although he provided no further details regarding its origin or purpose. The use of a fake military ID adds a serious forgery charge to the list of allegations against him.
The altercation involving Bissonnette first made headlines on Monday, and the former NHL tough guy soon took to social media to address the situation.
Later, Bissonnette provided further insight into the incident during the latest episode of Barstool Sports’ “Spittin’ Chiclets” podcast, which he co-hosts. He explained that the altercation occurred after he tried to intervene on behalf of the restaurant staff, who were being harassed by a group of what he described as “drunk golfers.”
Bissonnette, a former fan favorite of the Arizona Coyotes, said the altercation involved a total of seven individuals and initially began inside the restaurant before spilling out into the parking lot. Despite the dangerous situation, Bissonnette described himself as lucky to have avoided more serious injuries, considering the chaotic nature of the brawl.

The documents state that Daley held Bissonnette down on the ground and kicked him in the neck and head area. Following the incident, Daley appeared before a Maricopa County judge on Monday. Video footage of the court appearance, obtained by TMZ, shows that Daley has been scheduled for a status conference hearing on December 10 and a preliminary hearing on December 12 at the Superior Court in Phoenix.
The judge ordered Daley, who is from out of state, to stay away from the scene of the incident and to refrain from contacting the “alleged victim, complainant, or witness” involved in the case.
Daley was released on his own recognizance following the court appearance, but not without some tense moments. During the hearing, the judge asked Daley whether he would be able to return from Texas for future court dates. Daley’s initial response—”If I have to be, I can try to make it”—seemed to frustrate the judge, who emphasized the importance of attending the hearings. “It’s not a try,” the judge said sternly. “I mean if that’s the case, I’ll either set a bond for you.” Daley quickly corrected himself and assured the judge that he would be present for all future court dates.
