Paul Skenes is experiencing a remarkable month both on and off the field.
After being chosen as the first overall pick by the Pirates in the MLB draft last month, he is now being promoted to the Double-A affiliate Altoona, as announced by the team on Monday.

At just 21 years old, Skenes is a talented right-handed pitcher known for his powerful throws.
Additionally, he recently confirmed in an interview with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that he is dating Olivia Dunne, a viral sensation from LSU.
Skenes shared that he met Dunne through his best friend, who happens to be dating Elena Marenas, Dunne’s roommate and gymnastics teammate at LSU.
Skenes himself referred to their relationship as a “small-world type of thing.”
