With Olivia Dunne’s hectic schedule of traveling and juggling endorsement deals, it can be easy to forget that she is still a dedicated gymnast. Dunne remains an integral part of LSU’s gymnastics team, which captured its first-ever national championship last year. While she didn’t compete in the final, Dunne was a key contributor throughout the season, helping the Tigers secure crucial wins.
As the 2025 season approaches, all eyes will be on LSU to see if they can build on last year’s success, especially with top competitor Haleigh Bryant, the reigning NCAA All-Around champion and SEC Gymnast of the Year, returning.
This week, LSU gymnastics held its annual media day, and Dunne didn’t miss the opportunity to shine. She shared some stunning individual photos from the event on Instagram, where she sported a sleek black leotard, one of the Tigers’ many uniform options, and posed confidently for the camera.
Her caption read, “5th times the charm!? #superseniorszn,” marking her status as a seasoned veteran heading into her fifth year with the program.

As expected, Dunne’s post garnered immediate attention from her fan base and fellow athletes. University of Miami basketball player Hanna Cavinder, also entering her fifth year of competition, commented, “5th year slay.”
Dunne’s sister Julz chimed in with, “The final stretch,” while model Olivia Ponton simply wrote, “Princess.” Even Madden San Miguel, better known as “Baby Gronk,” shared his excitement, saying, “I CANT WAIT TO GO TO A MEET.” Fans, too, expressed their enthusiasm with comments like “You geaux girl ??,” a nod to LSU’s colors.
Dunne’s popularity and influence on social media continue to be a major part of her public persona, but she remains focused on the upcoming season.
After an exhibition meet on December 16, LSU gymnastics will kick off its 2025 regular season against Iowa State on January 3. The season promises to be filled with anticipation as the Tigers aim for another strong performance.
There’s also speculation about whether Dunne’s boyfriend, Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher and fellow LSU alum Paul Skenes, will make an appearance at one of her meets before heading to spring training in February.
With Dunne entering her final season and Skenes’ support, fans will be eager to see how both stars balance their athletic careers and growing public profiles.
