Despite the support of his girlfriend, LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne, Paul Skenes had a rough start to his Double-A career.
The top pick in the MLB Draft struggled, allowing four runs on three hits and only recording two outs in the Altoona Curve’s close 9-8 win.

Skenes did manage to strike out two batters but also walked two.

However, Skenes, a talented right-handed pitcher who won a national title with LSU, has impressed in his first few weeks of professional baseball.
He hit 100 mph in his debut and was promoted to Double-A before the end of August.
Dunne, seemingly supporting Skenes, posted on social media from the game in Altoona, Pennsylvania, where the Curve faced the Akron RubberDucks.
