The NIL Queen is too famous apparently.
Olivia Dunne, a gymnast for LSU and popular social media influencer, has found fame and success that others can only dream of.
However, along with that comes its own set of challenges.
In a recent interview with Elle’s Kayla Webley Adler, Dunne opened up about these difficulties, including the fact that she is unable to attend in-person classes on the LSU campus due to safety concerns.
Dunne, who takes her classes online, explained:
“There have been some scares in the past, and I am just being extra cautious. I don’t want my daily schedule and location to be known to the public.”
One such incident occurred during LSU’s opening meet of the 2023 season at the University of Utah, where some male spectators allegedly harassed the gymnasts, specifically demanding to see Dunne.
This group of 100 to 200 men also disrupted the performance of other gymnasts by chanting wildly, as reported by Adler.
Following this incident, the LSU athletic department hired private security to escort the team to future meets, ensuring their safety. Fortunately, no other similar incidents were reported, and the team went on to reach the NCAA championships, finishing fourth overall.
Dunne has become one of the most well-known college athletes in the United States, amassing millions of followers on her various social media platforms. She is also the highest-earning female athlete in college sports, with an NIL valuation of $3.4 million.
She has secured brand deals with notable companies such as American Eagle, PlantFuel, Body Armor, Grubhub, Linktree, Forever 21, Vuori, and Leaf Trading Cards, among others. As Dunne enters her senior year, she and the Tigers have their sights set on claiming a national title.

Reflecting on this stage of her life, Dunne shared, “I know it’s coming to an end, so I’m trying to savor every last memory. However, I am also excited to see what the future holds.”
