Olivia Culpo is the biggest cheerleader for her fiancé, Christian McCaffrey!
Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE at the Formula 1 team x Visa Cash App RB party in Las Vegas on Thursday, Culpo showered praise on McCaffrey for his preparations leading up to the 2024 Super Bowl.
“I feel like it’s just a crazy moment because it’s the accumulation of so much hard work and energy. He’s such a great person, he’s such a hard worker, there’s nobody in the world that deserves it more than him,” Culpo tells PEOPLE of the San Francisco 49ers running back.
Expressing her mix of nerves and excitement ahead of the matchup between the 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, Culpo adds, “First and foremost we’re very grateful and I always just want him to come out healthy and happy.”
Culpo also shared that she’s been able to stay in touch with McCaffrey “all the time” during the lead-up to the game.
“You’d be surprised, they have a lot of time where they’re doing recovery and they want to be on their phones,” she told PEOPLE. “I think social media, he tries to stay off of that, but as far as texting friends and family it’s what keeps him going.”
Culpo’s supportive comments come after she attended the NFL Honors on Thursday, where McCaffrey was named offensive player of the year.
Sharing a video on her Instagram Story Thursday night of McCaffrey accepting the award on stage, Culpo wrote, “So many reasons to celebrate you. Proud fiance over here,” along with sweet emojis.

She also posted a second backstage video of McCaffrey’s speech with the caption, “No one more deserving than you @christianmccaffrey,” and shared a photo posing alongside McCaffrey and his parents, Ed McCaffrey and Linda McCaffrey, with the caption “Family.”
Throughout the evening, Culpo shared glimpses of their time together, including a sweet couple shot and close-up photos of their attire for the night.
Earlier in the week, McCaffrey had praised Culpo for her unwavering support during his Super Bowl run, acknowledging the sacrifices she’s made.
“She’s sacrificed so much and I think all the wives do, but it’s tough, especially in season, a lot of late nights, a lot of time at the facilities,” McCaffrey told reporters at the Super Bowl LVIII Opening Night event. “She obviously is so successful in the world right now in her career, and to see her support me the way she does it means the world to me … and hopefully I can return the favor.”
The couple got engaged in April 2023 after nearly four years of dating, and Culpo has expressed her excitement about marrying McCaffrey.
As the anticipation builds for Super Bowl LVIII, airing on CBS on Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. ET, Culpo will undoubtedly continue to be McCaffrey’s biggest supporter.
