Odell Beckham is just as elusive as ever.
A woman accused Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. of assaulting her at Delilah in Los Angeles in April. However, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office found no evidence to support her claim, and so Beckham will not face any charges.
“A review of surveillance video from inside the nightclub contradicts the complaining witness’ account of events,” prosecutors said in a report.. “The video does not capture any battery.”
Club Delilah owner John Terizan also spoke to TMZ, saying, “We were contacted about an investigation and reviewed the videos, the claim is false. There is no evidence of this person even being in the area where she claims the incident occurred.”
Surveillance video from inside the nightclub contradicted the accusing witness’ account of events, and the assigned detective heard from a friend of the witness who was nearby at the time that she did not see Beckham place his hands on the woman. Consequently, prosecutors didn’t have a case due to insufficient evidence to prove it beyond a reasonable doubt.
Beckham signed a one-year, $15 million contract with the Ravens, which could increase to $18 million if he fulfills conditions regarding receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns.
Now it’s time for Beckham to produce on the field.
