San Francisco 49ers WAG Kristin Juszczyk, wife of fullback Kyle Juszczyk, has credited pop superstar Taylor Swift for giving her career as a clothing designer a major boost. What started as a personal hobby transformed into a successful business after Swift was spotted wearing one of Juszczyk’s designs at a Kansas City Chiefs playoff game last season.
In January, Swift attended a brutally cold playoff game between the Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins at Arrowhead Stadium, where temperatures plunged to -20°F, with some fans even suffering frostbite. Swift donned a custom-designed Travis Kelce-themed ’87’ puffer jacket to support her rumored beau. The jacket, designed by Kristin Juszczyk, instantly caught the attention of Swift’s massive fanbase, known as “Swifties.” Once they discovered the origin of Swift’s stylish and practical jacket, Juszczyk’s career skyrocketed.
Speaking to Page Six, Juszczyk expressed her gratitude for the pivotal moment. “She single-handedly changed my career. I feel like I owe her everything, truly,” Juszczyk said. “It was such a pinch-me moment seeing her wear something of mine, and it just completely changed the trajectory of everything that I was doing. She opened up so many doors for me. And she looked amazing!”
The impact of Swift wearing her design was immediate. Fans flocked to Juszczyk’s designs, eager to get their hands on the same jacket worn by the global pop icon.

But Swift wasn’t the only one in attendance sporting Juszczyk’s creations that day. Brittany Mahomes, wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, also wore a custom-made ’15’ jacket designed by Kristin.
Following the exposure from that high-profile game, Juszczyk’s fashion career took off. She has since signed a licensing deal with the NFL, designing exclusive apparel for the league and creating custom pieces for other stars like college basketball sensation Caitlin Clark and gymnastics icon Olivia Dunne.
Kristin shared that her journey into clothing design started simply, born out of necessity and creativity. “My husband’s been so fortunate to have such a long career in the NFL, and I just got really sick of having the same three or four pieces in rotation,” she explained. “We had a box of Kyle’s merch, so I just kind of got inspired to start cutting [T-shirts] up and see what I could make out of them.”
Her first creation for game day was far from perfect, but it set the foundation for her future success. “The first thing I ever made for a game day was actually a pair of patchwork sweatpants. Looking back now, they are so bad, but I was so proud of them,” she laughed. What started as a creative outlet to personalize game-day attire has since evolved into a full-fledged business, thanks in large part to Swift’s unexpected endorsement.
Ironically, despite Juszczyk’s career milestone during that Chiefs playoff game, the 49ers ended up losing the Super Bowl to the Chiefs in Las Vegas that season. Fast forward to this year, the 49ers have had a rocky start, standing at 2-2 ahead of their Sunday matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. Meanwhile, the Chiefs are on a hot streak, sitting at 4-0 and preparing for a Monday night showdown against the New Orleans Saints at Arrowhead Stadium.
With Juszczyk’s fashion line continuing to grow and new opportunities on the horizon, her designs are now staples in NFL circles, worn by some of the most influential figures in sports.
And it all began with one unforgettable game where Taylor Swift unknowingly helped launch her career to new heights.
