Vice President Kamala Harris recently announced that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz will be her running mate for the upcoming election.
However, this decision has sparked controversy among some, including Caitlin Thielen, wife of NFL wide receiver Adam Thielen. Caitlin did not hold back her disapproval of Walz, expressing her concerns on social media.
“Oh man.. bad bad news,” she posted. “He has run Minneapolis into the ground.”

Caitlin’s comments on X were quickly met with a barrage of responses. One fan countered, “Minneapolis has been ranked in the top 10 best cities to live in for years haha,” while another remarked, “Hey Cait, as a millionaire who lives 30 minutes away in the suburbs you may want to sit this one out…”
The Thielen family has deep ties to Minnesota, having lived there for several years while Adam Thielen played for the Minnesota Vikings from 2014 to 2022. During his tenure with the Vikings, Adam became a two-time Pro Bowler. In the 2023 offseason, he transitioned to the Carolina Panthers, where he has already made a significant impact, recording 103 receptions for 1,014 yards and four touchdowns in his first season.
Adam Thielen has not publicly commented on his wife’s remarks or shared his opinion on Governor Walz.
His focus remains on preparing for Week 1 of the NFL season with the Panthers.
As the political landscape heats up, Caitlin Thielen’s outspoken views add another layer of complexity to the public discourse surrounding Harris’ choice of running mate.
