Las Vegas is facing a surge in demand for private jet parking slots during Super Bowl weekend, with billionaires vying for spots to witness the anticipated clash between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers.
While the city grapples with the influx of football enthusiasts, Taylor Swift remains unfazed by the reported congestion.
Reports suggest that private jet parking spaces at Harry Reid Airport, as well as nearby executive jet strips North Las Vegas and Henderson, are completely booked. The rush for Sunday night takeoff slots for a swift departure after the game is also said to have reached capacity. The surge in traffic is not solely attributed to the Super Bowl but is compounded by the inaugural Las Vegas tournament of LIV Golf taking place concurrently.

Even the wealthiest individuals may encounter difficulties, prompting concerns among San Francisco tech billionaires and New York hedge fund owners. Some, despite possessing Super Bowl tickets, are opting to stay in their respective cities due to the travel uncertainties. A private jet insider disclosed a case of a hedge fund owner from New York who decided against flying to Las Vegas, stating, “It’s not worth going if you can’t get home when you want to.”
Silicon Valley’s tech leaders also find themselves scrambling, having failed to plan adequately following the San Francisco 49ers’ Sunday night victory. Michael Giordano, a partner at Cirrus Aviation Services, revealed turning down numerous trip requests due to the lack of available aircraft and parking slots.
However, one notable exception to the travel woes is Taylor Swift. The popstar, set to attend the Super Bowl to support boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs, is expected to make a swift journey from Tokyo, where she performs her final Eras Tour show. With the NFL reportedly reserving slots for teams and owners, Swift is anticipated to land at Harry Reid International Airport, though parking availability may still pose a challenge.
The congestion at Harry Reid and and the two nearest executive jet strips — North Las Vegas and Henderson — has been fueled by the Saudi Arabian-backed LIV Golf holding its first Sin City tournament at Las Vegas Country Club in the run-up to the Super Bowl. It is scheduled to finish Saturday.
The NFL also has some of the slots reserved for teams and owners, a spokesman said.
And there is one expected Super Bowl guest who does not need to worry about a slot: Taylor Swift.
Swift is playing in Tokyo Saturday night, but can make use of Japan being 17 hours ahead of Las Vegas to fly from there and land comfortably in time to cheer on her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
“Taylor Swift will definitely have a spot through the NFL to land, but not necessarily a place to park,” Michael Giordano, a partner at Cirrus Aviation Services, told The Post.
For those fortunate enough to secure private jet slots, additional fees await, as Signature Flight Support and Atlantic Aviation, the main private jet operators in Vegas, along with Henderson Executive Airport, reportedly impose special event fees to capitalize on the heightened demand and limited availability.
