On the final episode of “Total Access,” NFL Network’s Kimmi Chex may have subtly responded to Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker’s recent comments about women’s roles.
As Chex signed off, she acknowledged the team behind the scenes and shared a powerful message about women’s capabilities.
“I am lucky enough to continue on here with the NFL Network and hope to give more of my voice to the league I love while also being a wife and a soon-to-be mother of two kids,” Chex stated. “Don’t ever put women in a box because our potential is limitless and we can do it all. I am forever indebted to this show and I thank you at home for accepting my presence on Total Access.”

This statement came shortly after Butker’s controversial remarks at Benedictine College’s graduation, where he suggested that women might be more fulfilled by homemaking than pursuing careers. “I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolic lies told to you,” Butker said. “Some of you may go on to lead successful careers, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world. I can tell you that my beautiful wife Isabelle would be the first to say her life truly started when she started living her vocation as a wife and as a mother.”
The NFL has distanced itself from Butker’s views, stating they do not reflect the league’s position. Meanwhile, Butker has yet to respond to the backlash he has received.
