Deshaun Watson remains firmly in the spotlight.
Monday night turned into a forgettable evening for Deshaun Watson, the Cleveland Browns’ quarterback. The team suffered a defeat, marred by multiple errors on Watson’s part during the game, notably an interception that led to a touchdown on the very first play.

Adding to the Browns’ woes is the probable season-long absence of their star running back, Nick Chubb, due to injury. On top of this, Watson may find himself facing disciplinary action for his conduct in Monday’s game.
Watson committed two face mask fouls and even pushed an official during the course of the game. According to information from NBC Sports’ Mike Florio, the NFL is currently investigating these incidents.
Florio states, citing a source, “All plays will be reviewed and assessed today.” As a result of this evaluation by the league, Watson could potentially be suspended.
If a suspension were to occur, it would mark the second consecutive year in which Watson is sidelined. In 2022, during his first season with the Browns, he missed 11 games due to an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct.
The Browns have invested a significant sum, a total of $230 million in fully guaranteed money, in Watson, in addition to trading several first-round draft picks to the Houston Texans to acquire him.
Unfortunately, the partnership has yet to yield positive results, and in the event of Watson’s suspension, the Browns could find themselves without both their starting quarterback and running back.
