There’s considerable speculation circulating about the potential retirement of Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid after Super Bowl 58, but a well-known NFL writer suggests that such a decision is unlikely.
The 65-year-old Reid has steered the Chiefs to their fourth Super Bowl appearance in five years, securing a spot in the championship game with a 17-10 victory over the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship Game.
Regardless of the outcome against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58, the question lingers: Will Reid opt to retire and conclude his coaching career?
In the latest installment of his “Football Morning in America” column, NBC Sports’ Peter King expressed his opinion, stating, “never say never, but I don’t think Reid will retire.”

Having already earned two Super Bowl championship rings and boasting a career total of 258 wins, Reid’s induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame seems inevitable. While he has nothing left to prove as a head coach, the allure of the favorable situation in Kansas City may make it challenging for Reid to step away.
Teaming up with star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Reid has guided the Chiefs to six consecutive AFC Championship Games and now four Super Bowls. While he could contemplate retirement at the end of the season, the prospect of seizing more championship rings with the game’s premier player may dissuade him from doing so.
