Thompson attended one of Swift’s London shows over the summer as part of a star-studded group that included Travis, Jason, and Kylie Kelce. During an appearance on Kylie’s new podcast, Not Gonna Lie, Thompson opened up about the humorous and heartfelt experiences that unfolded during the event.

Kylie kicked off the conversation by teasing Thompson about a particularly memorable scene in the VIP tent.
“The first time we really got to hang out and spend time together was the Eras Tour tent,” Kylie began. “I will never not be able to see you dropping it like it’s hot while Mr. Swift was coming into the tent and you turning around with just a look of shock.”
Thompson laughed at the recollection, admitting her surprise. Rather than shying away from the story, she encouraged Kylie to keep it in the podcast episode, embracing the hilarity of the situation.

“At one point, I was with Leslie Mann, and I didn’t even know it was her,” Thompson revealed. “I smacked her on the butt, and she turns around, and I was like, ‘I am so sorry.’ And she’s like, ‘Don’t be,’ and I’m like, ‘Great, I’m with my people.’”
She added that a spontaneous trip to the bathroom with Kylie further solidified their budding friendship.
“You know you’re going to love someone when you take a trip to the bathroom and you’re talking over the stalls with each other. We were having a full-blown conversation. Kylie, you’re great. As advertised. I’ll take you.”
A Heartfelt Connection to Taylor Swift
While the night was full of laughter, Thompson also shared the emotional story behind her connection to Swift and her music.
“I was telling Travis this when we were in the tent,” Thompson began. “My love affair with Taylor started when my niece was in the hospital. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor when she was six years old. She’s now 22.”
Thompson described how Swift’s music became a beacon of hope for her niece during a challenging time.
“All she wanted to do when she got out of the hospital was go to a Taylor Swift concert. She gets out of the hospital, half her head is still shaved, bandages, the whole thing… She gets cleared to go to the concert, and she’s singing every word to these songs. Me and my sister are just bawling.
“From that moment, I was just like, ‘I love her.’”
