NFL enthusiasts got an early treat this Monday morning as the league unveiled the opening game for the 2024 regular season, ahead of the full schedule release set for Wednesday.
The season will kick off with the Kansas City Chiefs, the reigning champions, hosting the Baltimore Ravens.
This game, set for Thursday, September 5 at 8:20 p.m. ET at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, MO, is a high-stakes rematch of the 2024 AFC Championship. The game will be broadcast nationally on NBC and available for streaming on NFL+.

The Chiefs, who have clinched two consecutive Super Bowl titles and three of the last five, are no strangers to the spotlight of a season opener. They opened the 2020 season with a victory against the Houston Texans, although they fell to the Detroit Lions in last year’s primetime kickoff game.
The Ravens, on the other hand, are eager for redemption against Patrick Mahomes and his team. The Chiefs currently lead with a 4-1 record against the Ravens in matchups featuring Lamar Jackson, including a 17-10 win in last January’s AFC Championship.
Additionally, the NFL has also revealed a Week 1 international game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers in Brazil. Fans can look forward to the complete 2024 schedule reveal on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on NFL Network.
