The New York Yankees have teamed up with Tall Order and United Legwear & Apparel Co. (ULAC) to create a special edition of premium pinstriped athletic socks. These socks feature two embroidered logos: the Yankees’ iconic interlocking NY logo and the Aaron Judge x Tall Order logo, making them a unique and meaningful item for fans.
On Sunday, September 1, 2024—just before the 23rd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks—these commemorative quarter-crew socks will be given away as the designated promotional item at Yankee Stadium’s Performance Sock Day. The first 18,000 guests at the stadium will receive a pair of these exclusive socks, designed to honor both the Yankees’ legacy and the memory of 9/11.
Tall Order was founded in 2017 by brothers Dan and Mike Friedman, who lost their father, Andrew, in the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks. Inspired by their mother, Lisa, who brought supplies and socks to first responders at Ground Zero, the brothers vowed to give back. Tall Order donates a portion of its sales to health and human services organizations and select nonprofits, fulfilling the promise they made to support those in need.
“It’s an honor for the Yankees to collaborate with Tall Order, a company that channels so much of its efforts into meaningful and impactful philanthropy,” said Deborah A. Tymon, New York Yankees Senior Vice President of Marketing.

Lisa Friedman shared the story behind the collaboration, stating, “Aaron [Judge] contacted us in 2021 to make custom socks for him, and the rest is history. Now, he’s an equity partner in the company, along with United Legwear & Apparel Co. The socks that will be given to fans next month are replicas of Aaron’s custom performance socks.”
In a show of solidarity with Tall Order’s mission and in recognition of the upcoming 9/11 anniversary, ULAC, the manufacturer and distributor of Tall Order’s products, will donate 15% of their sales for the month of September to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation (exclusions apply; see tallorder.com for details). ULAC has also generously donated the 18,000 pairs of socks for the Yankee Stadium giveaway.
