New York sports radio hosts are known for their contentious nature, but when one of their own, former Giants running back and WFAN personality Tiki Barber, faced criticism from ESPN’s Ryan Clark, the entire network quickly rallied behind him.
On Friday, WFAN’s Gregg Giannotti condemned Clark for disparaging Barber over his recent comments regarding Saquon Barkley.
Giannotti recalled his own experiences covering the Pittsburgh Steelers and accused Clark of exhibiting rudeness in the locker room.

“I’ve talked about Ryan Clark before and my interactions with him in Pittsburgh, and he had a deal to come on with us once a week when he was still an active player for the Steelers, and one day he said he was sick and couldn’t do the show, and then he was up on ESPN on their morning show,” Giannotti said on today’s episode of Boomer and Gio. “Also, that whole hype video of him wanting to get a contract…and now the cherry on top of him going on this podcast and just destroys Tiki Barber for no reason whatsoever.
“Ryan Clark was a [expletive] in that locker room. I told this story last time. If Tiki Barber taught you how not to be, then Tiki Barber was doing the right thing in the locker room, because you were a (expletive).”
Giannotti went on to recount an incident where Clark condescendingly addressed a reporter for asking a harmless question, asserting that Clark had no right to assume a superior moral stance.
“You’re the classy guy? My [expletive] you are,” Giannotti said. “Don’t sit up on some high horse thinking you’re the professional in the room, and Tiki Barber is some jerk that didn’t treat you right. Stop it.”
It’s clear that Barber has no shortage of advocates at WFAN amidst this controversy.
