The New York Jets are rumored to be “highly motivated” to add to their pass rush in 2024.
According to Bleacher Report’s Jordan Schultz, the Jets are “trying to get a deal done” with pass rusher Jadaveon Clowney.

The Jets have reportedly met with the 31-year-old veteran, according to Schultz.
The Baltimore Ravens and Carolina Panthers have reportedly expressed interest as well.
The defensive standout had a highly productive season with the Baltimore Ravens in 2023, matching a career-high of 9.5 sacks. Additionally, he recorded 43 tackles, forced two fumbles, and tallied 19 quarterback hits.
Pro Football Focus ranked him as the 19th-best edge rusher in 2023.
“Clowney set career highs in pass-rush win rate and pressure rate while finishing ninth among all edge players in run-stop rate (9.6%),” PFF’s Lauren Gray noted. “He led Baltimore’s edge group in total pressures (78), stops (28) and tackles for loss or no gain (seven). “
Clowney was drafted out of the University of South Carolina with the first overall pick in 2014 by the Houston Texans.
He made three straight Pro Bowls with the Texans from 2016 to 2018.
Clowney has also played for the Seattle Seahawks in 2019, the Tennessee Titans in 2020, the Cleveland Browns in 2021 and 2022, and the aforementioned Ravens in 2023.
