Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is “fast and furious” both on-and-off the field.
Rice is potentially facing serious legal consequences following the multi-vehicle accident he was involved in on March 30 in Dallas, Texas.
He was released from jail on $40K bond after turning himself in to Glenn Heights police.
Rice was allegedly driving a rented Lamborghini at the time of the crash on a Dallas expressway and racing against somebody driving a Corvette leased under Rice’s name.

The person driving the Corvette was revealed to be Theodore “Teddy” Knox who is a cornerback for Southern Methodist University which is also Rice’s alma mater.
Now, it’s being reported Rice was driving 119 miles per hour at the time of the accident and it’s extremely fortunate that nobody was seriously injured in the crash considering how fast Rice was driving.
“Seconds before crashing, #Chiefs star wide receiver Rashee Rice allegedly was DRIVING 119 MILES PER HOUR, per NBC. The speed limit where the crash happened was 70 miles per hour and he now faces EIGHT FELONY CHARGES.”
Rice has been charged with one count of aggravated assault, one count of collision involving serious injury, and six counts of collision involving injury.
These charges stem from his alleged involvement in the car crash and subsequent attempt to flee the scene.
In Texas, an aggravated assault conviction could result in a sentence ranging from two to 20 years in prison. Considering the multiple charges, he could potentially face up to 35 years behind bars.
“I want to re-emphasize Mr. Rice’s continued cooperation with law enforcement,” attorney Royce West said in a statement. “Mr. Rice acknowledges his actions and feels deeply for those injured as a result of this accident. Our legal team is now tasked with reviewing all legal documents.”
Rice was a rookie for the Kansas City Chiefs last season as he helped them to a second consecutive Super Bowl championship.
For the 2023 regular season, Rice had 938 receiving yards and seven receiving touchdowns on 79 catches over 16 games.
