Zion Williamson is continuing to have his name dragged through the mud.
There have been recent trade rumors circulating around Zion Williamson, and it seems there may be some truth to them.
ESPN’s Brian Windhorst revealed that there is no relationship between Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans organization, and little interaction between him and his teammates. Windhorst also mentioned that Williamson has not been present with the team much this summer, and that this is a recurring pattern.
“There is no relationship between Zion and the organization. And minimal relationship between Zion and his teammates, from what I understand.”
“From what I’ve been told, Zion has not been around the team much so far this summer,” Windhorst said on ESPN’s Get Up. “But that is not different from the way he’s operated in the past—that he hasn’t made it a priority to be around the team as much. He’s sort of worked out on his own. What I’d say is that there’s definitely not the type of relationship that you’d like to have between a star player and a team here. And also, he doesn’t have as strong of relationships with his teammates, from what I am told, as you’d like to see. Now, that’s not a prerequisite for success, but as you look to try to build bonds moving forward that is something to consider.”

While this is not necessarily a prerequisite for success, it is concerning when it comes to building a strong team bond. Recent reports have suggested that the Pelicans may be interested in drafting top prospect Scoot Henderson and could potentially trade Williamson to make it happen.
This is backed up by comments made by shooting guard CJ McCollum, who did not seem bothered by Williamson’s absence from a recent play-in game. Adding to the drama, social media influencer Ahkeema has announced that she and Williamson are expecting a baby, due in 2023.
However, adult star Moriah Mills has also made claims about her relationship with Williamson, to which he has not responded.
