It has reportedly been revealed as to what the New England Patriots will do with the third overall pick.
With news breaking that the Chicago Bears will select Caleb Williams first overall in the 2024 NFL draft, it is likely that the Washington Commanders will take either quarterback Drake Maye or quarterback Jayden Daniels with the second overall pick.
According to Tony Pauline of Sportskeeda, the buzz around the NFL Scouting Combine is that the Patriots will select Daniels if the Heisman Trophy winner is still there.

If Daniels is selected by the Commanders, the Patriots will reportedly trade back in the draft as many New England Patriots scouts are “not fans” of Drake Maye.
With quarterback Mac Jones seemingly on the way out, the Patriots are in desperate need of a quarterback.
Plenty of other quarterback-needy teams will be interested in trading up to select Maye so the Patriots will not have too much difficulty finding a suitor.
