Where will University of North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye land?
On X, it was revealed that New England Patriots Director of College Scouting, Camren Williams, “liked” a post that stated Drake Maye is headed to the Minnesota Vikings.
The post states that the Vikings will be sending a “godfather offer” to either the Washington Commanders who have the second overall pick in the upcoming 2024 NFL draft or the New England Patriots who have the third overall pick.

This potential trade would put the Vikings in a position draft Maye.
The connection between Maye and Josh McCown, the quarterback coach for the Minnesota Vikings, is also emphasized.
McCown reportedly coached Maye during his high school years, suggesting a strong relationship that could influence the Vikings’ interest in drafting him.
The post also suggests that Maye’s skills align well with Kevin O’Connell’s offensive system, further fueling speculation about the Vikings’ interest.
Maye was the ACC Player of the Year in 2022 and was second-team All-ACC in 2023.
