Looks as if DeAndre Hopkins is going to be part of a historic franchise.
Last week, DeAndre Hopkins, a free-agent receiver, made visits to the Titans and Patriots.
There are no further scheduled visits, and it remains unclear if any other teams are pursuing him.
The Patriots are currently viewed as the favorites to land him, with DraftKings placing them at +100.
The Bills, Titans, and Lions follow at +350, +400, and +500, respectively. Generally secretive in their player pursuits, the Patriots’ interest in Hopkins has not enticed any additional teams to pursue him.
However, the deal is not yet sealed, and Hopkins may be waiting for another option to emerge.
Hopkins named some teams he would like to to play for. During an appearance on the ‘I Am Athlete’ podcast, he talked about what he’s looking for in his next destination:
“What I want is stable management upstairs…. A QB who loves the game, a QB who brings everybody on board with him and pushes not just himself but everybody around him. … And a great defense. A great defense wins championships.”
Despite the current state of affairs, it remains to be seen if another team makes a move before the Patriots.
