Reportedly, Tom Brady never truly desired a divorce from his wife of 13 years, Gisele Bündchen, the renowned supermodel.
The couple, celebrated for their status as a power couple, announced their divorce late in 2022 after two years of marriage. Despite their split, they agreed on joint custody of their two children.
According to a recent report from the Daily Mail, Brady “never wanted” the divorce from Bündchen. Allegedly, the three-time league MVP was apprehensive about the prospect of raising his children “with another former partner.”
A source shared with the outlet:
“Tom would actually agree that co-parenting hasn’t been easy. There has been a lot of love lost in their relationship and navigating through that and their careers and finding new love has not been easy.
‘It is safe to say that Tom and Gisele never expected to break up. He never wanted to divorce, especially since his relationship with Bridget ended, and dealing with that to get to a place of good co-parenting took some time. To do it all over again has been stressful.”

Reports suggest that Bündchen is currently in a relationship with her jiu-jitsu instructor, Joaquim Valente. However, Bündchen herself has not commented on their relationship, while Brady was recently linked to Irina Shayk.
Brady announced his retirement in February of the previous year after 23 seasons in the NFL. He is slated to join FOX Sports in the broadcast booth this fall, where he will work alongside Kevin Burkhardt and Erin Andrews on the network’s top commentary team.
