Since making his debut in Major League Baseball, Wander Franco has played 265 games for the Tampa Bay Rays.
However, recent allegations of a scandal have raised doubts about his future with the team.
The controversy began when Franco did not play in a game against the Guardians due to accusations that he has been involved in a relationship with a 14-year-old girl, which surfaced on social media.
Despite Franco denying these accusations on Instagram Live, the team still placed him on the restricted list while working with Major League Baseball to investigate further.

Notably, this is not the only inappropriate relationship he has been accused of.
The Attorney General’s Office in his home country, the Dominican Republic, has launched its own investigation based on a complaint from a 17-year-old girl who claimed to have been involved with Franco (the age of consent in the Dominican Republic is 18).
Although this minor has shown less interest in cooperating and may have faced external pressure, officials suggest there may be other underage girls involved.
No official charges or convictions have been made against Franco, but it appears that this situation will not be resolved in the near future based on the evidence available.
