Kay Adams might soon be hosting from a winter wonderland this holiday season. According to reports, Netflix is targeting Adams to serve as the studio anchor for its highly anticipated NFL Christmas doubleheader. The streaming giant, which recently secured the rights to air two games on Christmas Day, is eyeing Adams to lead its coverage as part of its foray into live sports broadcasting.
Adams, who currently hosts “Up & Adams” for FanDuel TV, is no stranger to the NFL world. She gained widespread recognition as one of the original co-hosts of NFL Network’s popular morning show, “Good Morning Football,” where she became a fan favorite for her deep knowledge of the game and charismatic on-screen presence. In addition to her current role, Adams has become one of the faces of YouTube TV’s NFL Sunday Ticket advertising campaign, further solidifying her as a key figure in NFL media.
While no official deals have been finalized according to the NY Post, Adams’ potential involvement with Netflix would mark a significant move for the platform as it looks to establish itself in the live sports arena. A spokesperson for Netflix declined to comment on the matter, and representatives for Adams have yet to respond to requests for comment.

Netflix is making a major splash in the NFL broadcasting world, reportedly paying $150 million for the rights to air two marquee matchups on Christmas Day: the Kansas City Chiefs vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens vs. the Houston Texans. This move comes as part of Netflix’s broader strategy to expand into live sports, an area where it has so far remained relatively inactive compared to competitors like Amazon Prime and Apple TV+.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Netflix had originally sought NFL legends Tom Brady and Kevin Burkhardt to serve as announcers for one of the games. However, Fox Sports blocked the move, preventing the streaming service from using its top NFL broadcast team. As a result, Netflix is now hoping to secure a new roster of talent, with CBS Sports veterans Ian Eagle, Nate Burleson, and Noah Eagle, along with Fox’s Greg Olsen, being considered for the broadcast booths.
While Ian Eagle and Burleson are expected to be available, given that CBS is producing the games for Netflix, it remains uncertain whether Fox will permit Olsen or if NBC will allow Noah Eagle to participate. Negotiations are ongoing, and Netflix is working to assemble a top-tier team to ensure the success of its NFL Christmas debut.
Adding further intrigue, Barstool Sports host and former Tennessee Titans three-time Pro Bowl tackle Taylor Lewan revealed that he is on the “shortlist” to serve as a sideline reporter for one of the Christmas Day games. Lewan, known for his vibrant personality and expertise on the field, has also been rumored to be hosting an upcoming Netflix reality show, further intertwining his potential involvement with the streaming giant.
As Netflix continues to finalize its talent lineup for the Christmas doubleheader, all eyes are on whether Kay Adams will bring her signature style and expertise to what is shaping up to be a major NFL broadcast event.
If the deal goes through, it would not only elevate Netflix’s sports coverage but also solidify Adams’ status as one of the most prominent faces in football media.
