Travis Kelce, who was already quite famous in his own right as a Kansas City Chiefs tight end, is now experiencing a whole new level of fame due to his relationship with Taylor Swift.
Since becoming involved with the international pop star, Kelce has found himself constantly in the spotlight, with paparazzi and various media outlets covering their every move.
Travis’s older brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, shed light on how his younger sibling is handling the newfound attention in an interview with NBC Sports’ Peter King.
‘It’s certainly been weird, the level that it is now,’ Jason, 35, said. ‘On one hand, I’m happy for my brother that he seems to be in a relationship that he’s excited about, that he is genuine about.
‘But there’s another end of it where it’s like, “Man, this is a lot.”
The coverage has expanded far beyond the extensive attention their relationship receives on game days, as Travis Kelce now finds himself in the public eye even during his everyday activities, with people taking photos of him in various settings.
‘There’s paparazzi talking about him fueling his car before the game today and I’m like, ‘Is that really necessary information to share?’ Jason said.
‘This is another level of stardom that typically football players don’t deal with. And so on one hand, really, really happy for my brother and where he’s at in his current situation with Taylor but on the other hand, there’s some, I think, alarms sometimes with how you know, over-in-pursuit people can be.’
Travis has been candid about the intrusion of paparazzi in his life since he started dating Swift in early September.
“I’ve definitely noticed a few things, like paparazzi outside my house and all that,” Travis shared on his “New Heights” podcast on September 27, which he co-hosts with his brother Jason. “One hundred percent, and they all have British accents or something European.”
Swift has been present at four of the Chiefs’ last five games, where she often hangs out with Travis Kelce’s mom, Donna, and Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany.

Following her attendance at the Week 6 Thursday night victory over the Broncos, Swift and Kelce spent the weekend in New York City, dining out and even making “Saturday Night Live” cameos, all while being closely followed by cameras.
Swift continued her support on Sunday during the Chiefs’ 31-17 win against the Chargers, with Kelce delivering an outstanding performance of 12 receptions for 179 yards and a touchdown.
After the victory, they celebrated at Kelce’s Kansas City mansion, traveling in his Rolls Royce, which, fortunately, had a full tank of gas.
If Travis and Taylor successfully navigate this honeymoon phase, they should be well-prepared to handle any future attention that comes their way.
