Patrick Beverley has received a four-game suspension for his conduct during the Milwaukee Bucks’ 120-98 defeat to the Indiana Pacers in Game 6 of their first-round playoff series.
The NBA issued a statement on Thursday detailing the suspension, which is without pay. According to the league, “Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley has been suspended for four games without pay for forcefully throwing a basketball multiple times at spectators and for an inappropriate interaction with a reporter during media availability.”
The incident occurred late in the game that saw the Bucks eliminated from the playoffs. Beverley engaged in a verbal altercation with a Pacers fan, leading to him throwing a basketball at the fan. His throw missed and instead struck a woman in the stands. Beverley retrieved the ball and threw it again at the male fan. Postgame, he also refused to answer a question from a reporter after learning she did not subscribe to his podcast.
