Reports suggest that the NBA is currently looking into claims of Josh Giddey being involved in an inappropriate relationship with a minor.
Reports emerged online this week accusing Giddey of being involved in a potentially inappropriate relationship with a high school student. The allegations are supported by photos and videos of Giddey with a girl who is believed to be a student in Southern California.
One of the circulating videos captures Giddey recording a video message for the girl’s brother where he can be heard promising to come watch him play. Additionally, there is a photo that shows Giddey hugging the girl.
The girl’s Instagram and TikTok accounts have been made private. According to some allegations, she is a high school junior as she won the “sophomore princess” title at her school’s football program a year ago. This confirms the allegations as high school juniors are typically 16 or 17 years old. The allegations regarding the girl were trending on social media via X on Wednesday and Thursday.

The NBA has announced that they are investigating the allegations. Josh Giddey, who was drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder No. 6 overall in 2021, is currently averaging 12.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game this year in his third NBA season.
