It’s that time of the year when people take a break to recharge their batteries.
Sports enthusiasts are feeling a bit down this week as they seek an alternative face on First Take in the absence of Molly Qerim. The host announced on Thursday that she would be taking some time off for the holidays, expressing her excitement at a level “15 out of 10” for her yuletide trip to Connecticut.
“This is my last day before vacation,” she happily declared. “I’m going to be off for a week. I’m gonna go see the family right after the show, I’m so excited.”
Molly was spotted rocking a fur coat as she prepared for her Christmas vacation:
On Friday, the First Take show underwent a complete transformation as Cassidy Hubbarth took the helm of the popular sports debate show with Qerim away on Christmas vacation. The regular lead analyst, Stephen A. Smith, was also missing, currently in Los Angeles filming scenes for the ABC soap General Hospital. Shannon Sharpe filled in on the panel for Thursday and Friday.

Hubbarth, whose broadcasting career began with the Big Ten Network and Fox Sports South, graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Having joined ESPN in August 2010, she served as a studio anchor and host for college football, college basketball, and the NBA.
Given her familiarity with hosting First Take, this stint should be a breeze for Hubbarth.
