An MMA fighter’s career came to an abrupt end after he committed an unacceptable act against a ring-card girl just before his match.
During a fight in Moscow at the Hardcore MMA tournament, fighter Ali Heibati attacked ring girl Maria as she was signaling the start of the round. As Maria turned away, Heibati kicked her in the middle of the octagon, causing visible distress. The referee intervened, admonishing Heibati for his actions.
Heibati’s day only worsened from there, as he was swiftly defeated by his opponent, Arkady Osipyan, in just 30 seconds. His frustrations boiled over as he tried to attack Osipyan even after the referee had called the fight.
Following the match, Heibati faced immediate repercussions from the crowd, with several spectators physically confronting him.
The series of incidents led to Heibati being permanently banned from the sport. He later appeared in a video apologizing to Maria, stating that his actions were due to pre-fight tension and acknowledging his inappropriate behavior. Despite his apology, the discomfort was evident, with Maria appearing uneasy beside him.
Heibati’s misconduct, which included attacking a referee, has likely ended any future opportunities for him in professional fighting.
