San Francisco Giants pitcher Logan Webb recently revealed that he may have enjoyed himself a little too much during MLB All-Star Week, which affected his performance in the 2024 All-Star Game. During an appearance on “The Chris Rose Rotation” podcast, Webb admitted that he was hungover during the game, which contributed to his subpar showing on the mound.
Webb shared that his night before the All-Star Game was filled with fun and festivities, including watching the Home Run Derby and hanging out with fellow MLB stars. “The best part was the night before the All-Star Game,” Webb said, as transcribed by Outkick. “I got to watch the Home Run Derby and hang out with these guys. … It was probably one of the more hungover days I’ve been. The day of the All-Star Game. I take responsibility for that. I was having a blast. It was a cool experience.”
He further elaborated on how the hangover impacted his performance, stating that it was challenging even to jog to the mound during the game. Despite his condition, Webb took accountability for his actions, though he couldn’t help but laugh at the memory of the wild night.

While Webb may have struggled during the All-Star Game due to his hangover, his overall season has been impressive. The Giants pitcher has compiled a 12-9 record with a 3.46 ERA over 30 games this season, continuing to establish himself as one of the team’s most reliable starters. Now in his sixth season with San Francisco, Webb remains a key player for the Giants, who currently hold a 72-74 record.
Although the Giants are unlikely to make the playoffs this year, Webb’s All-Star experience is something he’ll never forget.
His candid admission adds a humorous chapter to an otherwise standout season, and it’s clear that despite the mishap, he had an unforgettable time at one of baseball’s premier events.
